Iskon Janmastmi devotees Invitation in Advance .........


Shri Krishna Janmasthami festival will be celebrated on Thursday, 2nd September at ISKCON temple, Shree Radha Govinda Dhaam - Ahmedabad. Festivities will commence in the morning at 4:30 with Mangala Aarati, Kirtan, Japa Yagna followed by Gurupuja at 8:00 am. Shringar Darshan of deities in their new beautiful attire & a special flower decoration can be also relished thereafter. There will also be a discourse on Krishna Lila for three hours. The program will include “Chappanbhog Darshan” and “Akhanda Dhun” throughout the day.

Evening program will start on the stage at 6:00 pm with Kirtan by ISKCON devotees. Sandhya Aarti will begin in the main temple at 6:30 pm. At 7:30 pm His Grace Shree Jashomatinandan Das (President-ISKCON Ahmedabad) will perform Harinaam sankirtan followed by a discourse ‘Krishna has three forms – Brahma, Paramatma & Bhagavan’ on the stage. Between 8:15 to 9:30 pm Smt. Kashmiraben Trivedi & her group Sargam will perform a dance drama ‘Lila Purusottam Krishna’. Thereafter the guests of honor for the Janmashtami festival will address the gathering & start Krishna Janma Abhishek. The Abhishek & Aarti will be in the main temple at 12:00 midnight. The whole atmosphere will resound with the chanting of Purusha Sukta, Govindashtakam & Brahma Samhita along with ecstatic Kirtan.

Nandotsava will be celebrated on Friday, 3rd September. The most blessed event Shree Vyas puja, the appearance day of ISKCON Founder Acharya His Divine Grace A. C Bhaktivedanta Swami Shrila Prabhupada will also be celebrated on that day. This festival will start at 08:00 in the morning with Srila Prabhupada Gurupuja, offering of homage & flowers, Abhishek and Aarti. Just like a cowherd man of Vrindavan, Shree Natubhagat and his group will perform “Mataka Phod” (breaking of butter-pot) ceremony. On this occasion a love feast (Krishna prasaad bhojan) will be served to everyone.
